Host a District Meeting or Lab Tour for Spring Advocacy
Wednesday, 02 February 2011

This spring, SfN is focusing U.S. advocacy efforts on local impact.

With the start of a new Congress, it is important for legislators to hear from SfN members that science must be a priority in the FY2011 and FY2012 budgets. Local events such as lab tours and district visits are a convenient and effective way to communicate with legislators, providing an opportunity for SfN members to discuss their research one-on-one with members of Congress. SfN makes it easier with ready-made resources and by connecting members with other experienced members who have previously hosted events. For more information, check out the SfN Guide to Public Advocacy or download the new resource kit, How to Host Congressional Lab Tours.
